Searching for an Absol Empty
PostSubject: Searching for an Absol   Searching for an Absol EmptyMon Jul 04, 2011 12:59 pm

The sound of feet echoed through one of the streets of Jisa passing. The moon was high in the sky. It was late at night. Most everyone was asleep by now. But one person was still up.
Arina walked slowly down the dimly lit street. Kara, her Pichu was sitting in her shoulder. Mark, her Kricketot, was snuggled in her arms. He was scared.
"Kri icky..." Mark chirped nervously. Arina looked down at her scared Kricketot. "Don't worry Mark; nothing’s going to get us," She said, trying to reassure him. "Pichu pi," Kara said from her shoulder, looking around. Normally, the Pichu would be running around but she was feeling a little nervous.
"Come on guys, don't be scared. We have to come out at night if we want to catch a dark type Pokémon. I've even heard that Absol live here and that’s what we're going to catch!" Arina said to both of her Pokemon. She had her mind set on finding an Absol and she thought that they would have a better chance of finding one at night time.
Kara and Mark exchanged shocked glances. "Pichu pi!" Kara said to her trainer frantically. They had all heard rumors that Absol brought disaster where ever they went. Mark snuggled deeper into Arina. I've got one crazy trainer. He thought to himself.
Arina didn't understand what Kara was trying to tell her though. She just thought that Kara was worried that they would get hurt or something. "Don't worry Kara. Nothing will happen," Arina said confidently, petting her Pichu's head to comfort her. Kara realized that her trainer hadn't understood and sighed. She gave up after that.
Arina continued to walk. She looked around into the shadows, hoping to find an Absol. If she didn’t, then this would be a good time to train.

The shadows seemed to grow out towards the girl as if they were about to eat her up. She could see many pairs of glowing eyes and some slight growls emitting from them. The next thing she knew something ran behind her and fast, the wind from what ever it was whiped up and nearly blew Kara off her shoulder Mark seemed to sunggel in even deeper. The shadows reached out towards her more as the wind flew through her hair and forced her to close her eyes.

By now though, even Arina was feeling a little bit nervous. She glanced nervously at the eyes glaring at her. Mark was snuggled as deep as he could into her well Kara clung to her shoulder.
Hearing something behind them, Arina spun around. But she didn't see anything. "Whoevers there come out and face us!" She cried out bravely. Kara seemed to catch a bit of this courage and cried out, "Pichu pi!" Mark was less sure and whimpered a little.
Kara clung even tighter onto Arina as the wind came. Worried about her Pichu, Arina reached up and put her free hand behind Kara to stop her from blowing away. "S-show yourself!" Arina's cry could barely be heard over the wind. She could only hope that the wind would stop soon and their unknown attacker would soon show itself.

The wind would die down after a few minutes and heavy footsteps could be herd aproching Arina, the full moon which untill now had been hiding behind the clouds now shined down on the street scene and brightened the road giving Arina more light. A shadow could be seen projected on the ground and some of it Arina herself, at this time the footsteps had stopped and a roar could be herd behind her.

Arina breathed out in relief as the wind stopped. She hadn't even noticed that she had been holding her breath. She took her hand away from Kara knowing that she wouldn't be blown away. Mark looked around from his place in Arina's arm.
Arina glanced around as she heard footsteps. Her heart was beating frantically in her chest. "W-who's there?" She called out again. She was getting tired of this game.
Arina spun around at the sound of the roar. Mark shivered and Kara tightened her grip on Arina. All three of them were scared. Arina gulped, trying to be brave.
"Come out right now and face us!" She yelled into that shadows. "If you don't then that will mean that you’re a stupid coward!" That wasn't the best thing in the world to say. Kara winced. She knew that wasn't the best thing to say. Mark tried to become invisible by snuggling even closer to Arina. They waited for the mysterious creature to respond.

The creatue looked down apon the girl and her two pokemon, it seemed amused, and to keep having fun it jumped down form a roof top behind her and landed in a near by shadow. The light from the moon shon off the creatures beautiful glossy white fur, it was almost hypnotising to watch it move
'Absol...' is said as its brown eyes watch and observed the girl and her movements, the pokemon then walked out of the shadows and begun circleing Arina. As if it wanted to fight.

Arina watched as the Absol finally showed itself. A smile crept onto her face. She had been lucky to find it so quickly. The rumor of Absol being called the disaster Pokémon was far from her mind now. All she could think about was catching this amazing Pokémon. Kara and Mark disagreed though. Mark shivered in fear at the Absol's appearance. Kara's ears dropped in fright. Neither of the Pokémon had forgotten the rumor about Absol being the disaster Pokémon.
"Alright, let’s do this! Kara, you’re up!" Arina said excitedly. Kara gulped, trying to be brave. She jumped off of her trainer's shoulder and ran in front. She dropped into a battle position, sparks flying from her cheeks.
"Kara, use tail whip and then thundershock!" Arina called out. Kara wagged her tail, trying to lower the Absol's defense. She then jumped into the air and fired a thundershock at it.

The pokemon smiled evily as the eletrical attack flew down towards it but the pokemon just simply jumped out of the way, as it did so the moon light shon off its fur again the white fur seemed to dazzle Kara slightly. The eletrical attack would hit the ground where the dark type used to stand, and a shorch mark was left. Absol then used its Leer attack, lowering Kara's defence with its peircing brown eyes it then lept out towards her with hits claws out, it apeared to be a Scratch attack.

Arina watched as Kara's attack missed. "Dang it," she whispered quietly to herself. Kara felt angry as the Absol dodged her attack. This caused more sparks to leap out of her cheeks. What annoyed her even more was how this Absol was acting. It seemed like it was making fun of her!
Kara blinked and took a step back as she got it by the leer attack. It had lowered her defense.
"Come on Kara! Don't give up!" Arina shouted out. She saw the Absol leap forward. Her mind raced as to what she should do. Finally, out of panic, she yelled, "Kara, use thundershock on it!" Kara nodded. She concentrated on making the attack for a second then fired the thundershock at the oncoming scratch attack. Arina would only hope that the attack would stop the Absol. Mark was watching the battle from his place being held by Arina. He was silently cheering for his team mate.

The Abslo saw the eletrical attack flying towards it, it growled angerlly at the small mouse pokemon it didnt seem to be able to dodge the attack. A few seconds later and the Absol droped to the ground smoldering from the eletrical charge, the Tail Whip from before seemed to be doing its job. The pokemon had a look of great rage on is face as it tryed to move, but it couldnt the electricity from the last attack still remained in its body surging through out it causing the enraged pokemon to be paralysed. This was Arina and Kara's opportunity to try and catch it.

Arina grinned happily as the attack hit. "Good shot Kara." She complimented her Pokémon. Kara smiled at the compliment, feeling proud of herself.
Arina watched the Absol waiting for it to get up. When it didn't she was confused. Then she noticed its struggles and realized that the Absol was paralyzed. Her smile grew wider. Happily, she reached into her bag and grabbed a Pokeball. She threw it at the Absol, hoping to catch it.

The pokeball would hit the angered pokemon, it would the open as it did so the paralysed Absol would then become red and slightly clear and flew into the ball like a laser it then closed. The pokeball landed on the ground and began to shake from side to side, while at the same time the button on the center seemed to flash red, the ball shakes a ferther three times and stops.

Arina held her breath as she waited to see if she would catch the Absol.
"YES!" She yelled in joy as the ball clicked, signaling that she had caught the Absol. "We did it! We did it!" She yelled happily, jumping for joy. She was yelling loud enough that the people in their houses could probably hear her. Hopefully though, they wouldn't wake up.
"Kri icky!" Mark chirped angrily, having been thrown around from Arina's jumping. "Oh, I’m sorry Mark," She apologized. Kara sat there looking proud of herself.
Arina put Mark on the ground and ran over the pokeball lying there. She picked it up. "What to call you..." She said to herself. "I'll call her Nina!" Arina said. "Pi pichu," Kara said in agreement. "Icky Kri icky," Mark nodded. They all liked the name. Arina looked back at the pokeball in her hands. "Welcome to the team, Nina," She said.
Suddenly, Arina yawned. "Let’s go to bed," She said sleepily. Her Pokémon nodded in agreement. They all started to walk to the Pokemon center. Soon, they were in front of the building. Kara jumped on Arina's shoulder so she didn't have to walk. Mark, having seen this, struggled to climb on her other shoulder. Not paying much attention to what her Pokémon were doing, Arina walked into the Pokémon center and looked around to see if anyone else was up this late at night. She doubted it.

Arina would be wrong, as she entered the building the hot air from the heater was a refreshing welcome from the cold of the night. She would look about seeing a larg gathering of trainers at the from desk

'Heal my pokemon next!' one boy yelled

'No! I was next' a girl screamed

A trainer would walk in behind Arina, the trainer was a male couldnt have been any older then her

'They have all been defeated by the Absol.... I saw you catch it... Good work' he said, then he rubbed the top of her head gently and walk over to the sofas.

Arina blinked in surprise to see some other trainers up so late. She had thought that they had all gone to bed a while ago. She stood there wondering why they were still up. They also didn't seem like they were in that good of moods. She only watched as the trainers fought over who would get there Pokémon healed first.
Arina looked up as another trainer walked up to her. "Uumm... thanks." She said in response. It was hard to believe that all of the trainers had lost to her Absol but that had to be true. She blinked in surprise as he rubbed the top of her head. That was really strange. Arina thought to herself as the mysterious trainer walked away. She decided that it would be best to heal Nina because she had gotten hurt from Kara's thundershock and was currently paralyzed. Arina walked over and got at the end of the line of trainers waiting to heal their Pokémon. She waited until it was her turn.

Arina was in line for two hours before she could be served

'Im so sorry for the wait' the nurese said with a kind smile on her face, her pink hair was tied back into two hoops behind her head. She kindly waited for Arian to hand over her pokemon. Over at the sofas the male trainer from earlyer was still there but he was now joined by a female

'I hear that Absol has finally been cought' she said painting her nails

'Yeah, i saw it' he said reading a book, his back faceing Arina

'Ohh? Who?' She asked and the boy jestered to Arina 'Mmm.... Interesting....' she then got up and walked over towards her 'Hello'
a wicked smile crossing her face.

Arina was happy when she finally reached the front of the line. It had been a really long line. Kara had fallen asleep on her shoulder waiting and Mark was making music with his antenna. Both of them where still on Arina's shoulders. Arina happily handed her Nina's Pokeball so she could be healed.
Arina looked up as the female trainer walked up to her with a wicked grin on her face. Why are all the creepy people talking to me? She thought to herself. Mark fearfully tried to make himself small and unnoticeable. Kara was still fast asleep. "H-hi." Arina said in response to the trainer.

(Ok.)

"Uuhh.... yeah. I did catch an Absol," Arina said back. Why must the creepy people talk to me? She thought to herself feeling uneasy. She could feel this new trainer scan her. Mark was clearly unnerved by this to and clung to Arina. Kara was still fast asleep. She was sleeping through all of this. "Uh... Do you need something?" Arina asked. She was tired of this girl scanning her and wanted to get away.

"I-it’s nothing." Arina said, unsure of how to react to the girl. She was still feeling a little bit uncomfortable around the girl but tried to push the feeling away. She perked up at the mention of a battle. "Yes. I would love to have a battle with you once she's done healing." Arina said excitedly. This would be her first trainer battle and she was getting excited. Mark shivered fearfully, having never been in a battle before. He wasn't sure that he wanted to be in one yet. But he did trust Arina and she wouldn't put him against something scary. Well, he hoped she wouldn't. Kara was still asleep, looking quite peaceful. She was oblivious to what was going on around her.

"so... how long should it take?" the woman asked in a sinister voice. she seemed very impatientt, and almost demanded a battle with this trainer.
nurse joy would return before arina could even reply.
"your pokemon is all healed" she said, smiling a large grin. she handed back the pokeball and proceeded to talk
"have a nice day" she kindly gestured.

Arina gulped. Why is this woman so creepy? Is she purposely trying to creep me so I can't focus in our battle? No, she wouldn't do that. Well I don't think she would anyway. That would just be wrong... As Arina opened her mouth to reply to the trainer, the nurse came back. Arina took Nina's Pokeball. "Thank you," She said to Nurse Joy. Arina blinked at Nurse Joy's comment about having a good day. Isn't it still night time? She thought to herself. Arina turned back to the other trainer. "I'm ready to battle," Mark shivered in anticipation and fear. Arina, finally noticing that Kara was asleep poked her to get her to wake up. "Wake up Kara." Kara groaned before going back to sleep. "Unless you want to miss our first trainer battle than you should get up," She said. Kara woke up instantly. She looked around, realizing a lot had happened while she had been asleep. "Pichu pi?" She squeaked.
